Prom - Finding the right prom dress

Hi guys :)

So.. I've been looking for the right prom dress for months now. I know what I want: A beautiful, original, blue (my favorite colour), distinguished yet sexy, dress. I want a dress that makes me stand out from the crowd, but still doesn't look like a desperate move to get attention.

I started of looking at the internet. There's a lot of  great websites, but I also know that there's a lot who doesn't ship the products at time, and some not at all. At first I just looked for inspiration, for how I wanted my dress to look like.
And then I found this one:

I really like this one. I think its beautiful and stands out, in a good way.  In this, you will still be able to see my figure -also in a good way. But unfortunately this is from lightingthebox.com, which to me doesn't seem trustworthy.

Therefore I started looking for dresses at websites that I know are trustworthy:

- There are different dresses at the Amazon websites.

I also thought about going to Copenhagen to look for the right dress, but I've heard from friends that its cheaper to buy dresses online, than in shops. I am still going to buy the accessories from a shop though.

I ended up with buying the dress from Amazon.co.uk.
It's nothing like the one I intended to buy, but I like it anyway.
It's special, stands out, and is distinguished yet sexy.
The only thing I'm a bit worried about is the colour.
I never expected me to buy a dark green dress.
That and grey has never crossed my mind.
But with the pale skin of mine, I think the dark green colour will suit me well.

.

I haven't found all the accessories yet, but they'll have to match the earrings I bought:
Besides that, I'm now on the look-out for a dark green, silver or black clutch bag. Preferable dark green, but I've found that quite difficult  to find.

As it looks now I will wear some black high heels from Dixie, but it depends on how they look with the dress, the heels are 10cm. I might go with silver stiletos instead.

When it comes to the make-up, I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to do. I don't want to pay anyone for doing it, but at the same time, I'm a bit worried about how well I'm able to do it myself. At this point it would be nice with an elder sister to help  me out.

As a lot of other students, I will be arriving in a limo, which suits me well. It's nice to have an excuse for driving in a limo and when you're with best friends, it can go wrong.

All of this do cost more money than I expected, and you never have much money left over after christmas. Therefore, I will recomend everyone to start saving money already in November. Unless you know that you will earn enough  in the spring to pay for it all. Just remember that if you're in the last year of High School, this is the time where you also have to pay for whatever plans your class mates have made to celebrate the High School graduation. For instance, my class has planned a week in a holiday house in the city - that's not  cheap when you agree on getting a holiday house with pool, sauna and several sleeping rooms. So please keep that in mind! But again, this is the time of our life, don't let lack of money keep you down.

Enjoy! :))

My dirty little secret

So.. I'm playing classical guitar and have music on A level in High School. Therefore, the people I talk to mostly listen to jazz or classical music. This is where my dirty secret comes into the picture..
I REALLY LIKE ONE DIRECTION?!
-don't tell any.

I don't know why or how this has happened to me, but somehow they managed to make their way into my playlist. I can't exactly say I see the connection between One Direction and Norah Jones.. But I guess there's different music for all moods.

But.. Why do I know that Harry has a cat name Molly? And that rumor about 4 nipples? omg.. (the people who actually believed in it.. no. just don't, okay?).

I've never been a fan of boy bands, so what it is that makes these guys different?
I think Simon Cowell has done a great job with the marketing of them. No contestant from the X-factor in Denmark has ever succeed in surviving in real life, and the fact that One Direction  is world-known.. I mean, I didn't even know that they had participated in X-factor the three first months of their existence (in my mind), if I had I would probably like them less. X-factor is  kinda the easy way to success.

At the moment it actually might look like little Denmark will get our very own boy band, Wasteland, at least according to the X-factor. I just don't find them that amazing  - but they're alright, I guess.

So lately I've stubled upon this fan video/ fan fiction, made by Mark Parsons. If you're a fan of One Direction, you should definately see this!
If you don't know One Direction... Shame on you! And you probably shouldn't see the video. I guess it wont make that much sense then.

And by that.. Goodbye!

Grades.. AHHR!

So.. There's not long until graduation. Actually there's only about  2 months left. Do people stress about grades? Ohhh yes, they do!
Recently I've been using so much time doing homework and assignments, hoping to get it all right, straight A's (okay,  that's a joke.. but straight B's then!) Or something like that. It can't hurt?
From what my plans are now, it doesn't look like I'm going to need any  kind of good grades later on, but who knows, those plans might not last?

I really want to go to The School of Journalisme and Media in Copenhagen, but the entrance examination is really hard to pass, since there is so many people applying. BUT something that is not needed is grades.
Why? Well, I guess it's because the school is pretty new and have a more modern admission system. Whether you get accepted or not depends on your creative skills, e.g. in the program photoshop.

Therefore I've start thinking that I might have wasted three years on studying hard to get good grades. I could just have spend my time on photoshop? Or who knows.. Design or coding.. Then I could have made my own computer game by now.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that since I'm a creative person, I should have thought about education  earlier, before I started to spend most of my time on school. All the creative educations (at the schools where I wannna go) doesn't care about your grades, so why spend so much time on studying?

As it is now I'm thinking I'm going to keep up the hard work, why not? After all, I have spend 3 years on getting these grades, and it can't hurt to make sure I can get into law school later on if I decide to do that. Not that it seems like that's going to happen, it seems a bit to boring to me.. But you know what I mean :)
I just... fuck it. High School is soon over.. I'm really looking forward to a gap year ;p

Socks!

So, recently I started knitting socks. I've always found it incredibly intimidating to knit with double pointing needles, but after watching a ridiculous lot of tutorials on youtube, I finally found a great recipe!

Therefore.. For all new knitters, I will recommend this pattern!
http://www.freshstitches.com/free-knitting-pattern-easy-peasy-socks-beginner/
It's an adobe file which you will have to download,  but it really just take 2 seconds, which it is worth.
When I'm done with the socks, I will upload a picture! At the moment I just started on the heel flap, so it might be a while? Who knows.. :)

Another tip for new knitters: go visit knittingtipsbyjudy on youtube, she's good at explaining how to knit :)

Vlogs! and London..

Hello guys! :)

SO, I figured for you to know a bit more about me, I would have to tell you a bit about what I do in my sparetime. -which leads me back to the title: VLOGS!

In case you don't know: A vlog=  a video blog..

I spend a lot of time watching vlogs on youtube. For some reason I really fancy British guys -might be the accent, might be the attitude, the look, the hair, the humor.. I don't know! But they are great watching!
I live in Denmark, and I always wanted to see more than my own country, and again, for some reason, I don't really know why, but I really fancy the UK, especially London.
London, London, London....
The weather is rainy, people work hard and are completely stressed out, the streets are dirty.. And it's so big it's hard to keep your head straight.. But anyway! London is quite charming too! All the movie makers and fashionistas who's moving there, hoping on getting their dreams fufilled - I love to see that much passion united at one place.
There's also a lot of great theatres and the portobello market, which I enjoy visiting whenever I'm in London.
Furthermore, London has beuatiful parks, which are clean, and filled with great events and lots of flowers..
Also, London is filled with British boys - no need to say more.

I would absolutely love to live there. Maybe not my whole life, but for a year or two, while I'm still young. Is it just me or does other share my fascination for London?

Oh.. Back to the vlogs.
I have found this group of young British vloggers who's all great. They are all different, but I can definately recommend them! Check them out:

Marcus Butler - MarcusButlerTV
-He spends waaay to much time on doing his hair, but he is quite good at vlogging:

Alfie - PointlessBlog
-He is quite charming and good friends with Marcus. I don't know why, but those guys really like filming their life and making it public - anyway, I won't complain.. :))

Sam Pepper - OFFICIALSamPepper
- He is not like the others, he's more random, but in a good way. Like.. dressing-up-like-an-old-man-and-scaring-his-friends-way.

Charlie McDonnell - Charlieissocoollike
-The first British vlogger I followed.. You never know what he uploads. For some years ago he uploaded a lot of challenges, then last year he liked to talk about physics, and at other times he just really likes to play the ukulele or just talk.. I think he is soon going to do some short movies?.. He is great!

Dan - Danisnotonfire
- A nice and fun introvert. He has some really awkward, yet funny stories..

Joe Sugg - ThatcherJoe
Well, his vlog reminds a bit of  Marcus and Alfies, but he  - for some reason-  really enjoys prank phone calls. .. He's great. And, his sister, (Zoella), is one of the only girl vloggers I'm following too, so..yeah.

Jim Chapman
-Jim is this really calm down and charming guy. He's married to Tanya  Burr (another great youtuber) which makes it really interesting to hear about his/theirs lifes. Also, he makes a lot of random stuff which of course always is great. :)

JacksGap
-The two twins, Finn and Jack are behind this channel. They are quite new to me, but great too. People who gives strangers compliments with a megaphone can't be that bad, right?

Two other guys would be Casper Lee or Mazzi Maz. They are both really random - in their own way though, they are not alike!
Also, EmmaBlackery is worth checking out. I believe she's British.. She is really ironic. Like, really (not).

okay.. I guess that was my list of British vloggers I like!
There's lot's of others great vloggers and youtubers -only, they are not British ;)

Hi :)

Hello :)

So.. I have tried to getting started with blogging waaaay too many times. I think the reason why I never succeed is that I usually want the blog to have a certain subject.
So, this time, I figured I just write about whatever  random stuff I want to - it could be my day, movies I like, DIY-projects I looove or recipes on food.
Hope you enjoy! -I know I will.

Oh, and the background picture is one I took when I was in Dublin last year - go see the mountains, they're incredibly beautiful.
My profile picture is just me playing with my hair ;)
